This weekend really shined a spotlight on the many gray areas of what is and what isn't a take down in folkstyle. However, I think I may have gained some clarity on one specific scenario this weekend.

For Mekhi's take down vs Marinelli, even though Marinelli still has Mekhi's right leg and Mehki is closer to 90 degrees to Marinelli than being behind him, was it a take down because:

- Mekhi has Marinelli's near leg hooked with his left leg
- Marinelli's far hip is down on the mat
- Mekhi has a cross face

If that is the criteria, man Mekhi was so close to going up 5-1 on Wick at the end of the 1st.
